Verterans Aid and Attendance Benefits - Do You or Your Parents Qualify

Jacksonville has many retired military personnel.  They are among the millions of familes of wartime veterans who likely are not taking advantage of veterans benefits that can help pay for long term care, including assisted living facilities.

Qualifying is straightforward.  If a veteran served at least 90 days of active military service, including at least one day during a war, and were not dishonorably discharged, you can qualify.  (There are stricter requirements if you entered active duty after September 8, 1980).  The maximum beneffit is $1,949 a month for married veterans.

There are 2.3 million veterans who served in World War II still living, and 2.6 million who served in Korea and 7.7 million who served in Vietnam.  That's more than 12.6 million veterans who may qualify for the benefit.  In 2009, only 105,000 veterans were receiving the benefit.

If you are one of the veterans, or a family member of one, who may qualify for the benefits, we are offering free, no-cost, no-obligation, 45 minute, consultations to veterans of WWII, the Korean War or the Vietnam War.  If you would like to take advantage of these free consultations, please call 904-448-1969, in the Jacksonville area, or toll free 888-492-2468, or email
Sherri@TheColemanLawFirm.net to schedule your consultation.

My grandfather served in WWII and received a purple heart. I was not at all aware these benefits were available and I know that financially they can use all the help they can get right now. I will speak to him about his eligibility. Thank you for this PSA. It's tragic to veterans not receiving their due and much needed benefits simply for lack of knowledge.

We have consulted with thousands of Veterans and their surviving spouses on how to qualify for the Aid and Attendance pension. The pension has been in existence since 1952. Most do not know about it. Aid and Attendance is for those 65 and older in need of care either living in their home, assisted living or nursing home care. This tax free pension is worth from $1,056-$1,949 amonth and directly deposited into your bank account. http://www.seniorcareassociates.com
